From the 20th to the 22nd of April we – the class 9c – went on a trip to Berlin with our class teachers Mr. Speckmann and Mr. Eickmeyer. We took the train, which needed nearly three hours to arrive in Berlin. When we arrived at the Berliner main train station. After we received our three-day-metro-tickets we took the subway to get to our hotel. The hotel ‘Aletto’ is well-prepared for young adults hence it’s modern and directly the lively Ku’damm.
As we got our room cards we had free time until 2 pm to eat something for lunch in Berlin. Then we all went to the ‘JumpHouse’: A facility which offers all sorts of trampoline action! We spent one and a half hours jumping, playing games and practising stunts. It was very entertaining and we were exhausted after it. For dinner, we could go in small groups again.
The next day we had lots of free time until 2 pm. Some of us went shopping and some sight-seeing. In the afternoon, we had a guided graffiti tour in Friedrichshain, which was very interesting. We learned a lot about the artists themselves and that’s why we’re looking at graffiti in another way now. What an exciting form of art! After the tour, we had a graffiti workshop and created cool and individual graffiti on our own. It wasn’t as dificult as we thought, therefore it was a lot of fun.
For dinner, all of us went to a small but delicious burger hut. On the last day, we visited the Bundestag where we had a guided tour. It was more interesting than expected. Besides, the view from the dome was fascinating. After six hours of free time we met again in the evening. We took the train back home where our families welcomed us.
All in all, everyone was happy with how the trip went. The amount of free time and time we spent together was well-balanced, so we also had enough time for seeing and doing what each of us wanted to do in Berlin. We’re all very glad we made this final class trip.
